Powerboat Level 2 (2 days)

Open to everyone, you can complete this course as a novice, or it's ideal for those who have done some boating before. Anyone over the age of 12 can take part, it's ideal if you are thinking of buying a boat, have recently purchased one, or would like to hire one on holiday.  Skills you'll learn include:

• speed and collision regulations
• anchoring
• knowledge of safety equipment
• turning in confined spaces
• coming alongside and securing to a mooring buoy
• close quarters handling
• man overboard techniques
• high speed manoeuvres
• rules of the road
• pilotage and passage planning

The teaching ratio is 1:3 so you'll be with no more than 2 other students alllowing you plenty of time to practice.

By the end of the 2 days you'll have the skills and background knowledge to take a small powerboat out for the day and bring it back safely.

You'll be outside all day, so wear comfortable clothes and suitable footwear which is non-slip and doesn't mind geting wet.

You will need a passport photo for your certificate, please bring one with you.
